Gangolli, Oct 19: “Furthering the government project to develop primary health centers, the centers at Gangolli, Hallihole, Kirimanjeshwara and Hakladi in Byndoor are being improved. The health center at Gangolli is being upgraded at a cost of Rs 119.66 lacs without compromising on quality of construction. The government building is a public property and should be maintained properly”, said Byndoor MLA K Gopala Poojary.
He was speaking after laying the foundation stone for Gangolli primary health center building under Karnataka Healthcare system and its improvement project on Friday, October 18.
“Gangolli church road concretization is taken up with various grants at a cost of Rs 80 lacs, Jumma masjid road is being concretized at a cost of Rs 10 lacs with Zilla panchayat and MLAs funds and in the coming days entire Manganese road will be concretized, in order to convert Gangolli as a model panchayat”, he said.
Gangolli grama panchayat president Sakamma presided over the meeting. Zilla panchayat education and health committee president Ganapathi T Sriyan wished the project well. Zilla panchayat member Anantha Movadi, Hemmadi grama panchyat member Sharathkumar Shetty, health protection committee member B Sadananda Shenoy, Gangolli primary health center medical official Dr Shwetha and KHSDRP engineer Devaraj were present.
Taluk medical officer Dr Rama Rao welcomed the gathering. Zilla medical officer Dr Ramachandra Bayari gave a key note address. Junior medical assistant Huliappa Gowda conducted the programme.
