Mangalore: Audio of 'Nirel' Tulu movie launched at dazzling Dasara event

Mangalore, Oct 14: The audio launch of the first international Tulu movie ‘Nirel’, which has been completely shot in the UAE, took place amidst a huge crowd during the Dasara celebration on Monday October 14.
After the audio release, music director Abhishek S N entertained the crowd with the song ‘Daane’ from the movie, accompanied by ‘Ocean Kids’ dance troupe.
In addition, leading actors of the movie Anoop Sagar, Varuna Shetty and Deepthi too performed on stage for the five other songs of the movie. The 2.15-hour movie comprises six songs, including one item number, all sung by new singers.
Sandalwood director and actor Dayal Padmanabhan was present on the dais. He said, “I enjoyed all the songs. The quality of the songs is good." He congratulated the team and wished the movie success.
Director Ranjith Bajpe, producer Shodhan Prasad, co-producer San Poojary, lyricist Loku Kudla, Sitaram Kulal, and story writer Karthik Gowda were present at the occasion. Nagaraj Amber compered the programme. Sachin Krishna, assistant director and singer Akshatha Rao were present
The songs in the movie are 'Balcony' (Item song), 'Daane enna manas', 'Serrnaga ee manass', 'Eaane chandire', 'Daaye enan', 'Mokeda singari', and 'Mokeda singari revisited'.
The audio launch was held during a six-hour long cultural extravaganza jointly organized by South Kanara Muncipal Employees' Union and Mangalore City Corporation for a crowd of at least 30,000 as part of Mangalore Dasara and Navaratri celebrations near Lal Bagh.
The cultural programme which started with devotional songs at 7 in the evening went on till 1.30 am. Nearly 35 songs were sung along with dance performances and comedy skits.
Ramachandra, Ajay Warrior of Bangalore, Sarikha of Shimoga, Anitha D’Souza, Iqbal, Prahlad, Ranjan Das, Sandesh, Pallavi Prabhu of Mangalore, Rihana of Kerala were a few popular singers who performed on the occasion. ‘Ocean Kids’ dance troupe added more glamour to the occasion with its scintillating dance performances. Raj Gopal Verma and team provided the background music.
During a short inaugural programme, Mangalore South MLA J R Lobo, corporators T K Sudhir, Sadashiv Das Pandeshwar, president of the employees' union Shivraj and office bearers shared the dais.
