Mangalore, Oct 15: “The Hubli Bharatha Janaandolana, under the initiative of former chief minister B S Yeddyurappa will hold a protest on Thursday October 17 at Hubli railway station, at 10 am followed by a procession at 4 pm,” said K Ravindra Shetty, district president of Karnataka Janata Party (KJP).
He addressed the gathering during a press meet held at Hotel Woodlands on Tuesday October 15.
“The successive Congress government has several internal disputes due to which corruption within the society has been rising. Moreover the public has to deal with issues such as price hike and other social issues,” he said.
It is been learnt that Karnataka Janata Party (KJP) addressing the central government will put forth issues such as, agricultural loan scheme of lending Rs 25,000 to the farmers, that was started by B S Yeddyurappa under AFAX Bank, although Rs 1,591crore has been released but not been used for the welfare of the farmers.
They will also address the following issues; the Kalasa-Bandura Nala project that must be enforced; Rs 700 cr to be released towards the railway project; essential requirements to be provided for school children; relief for arecanut and maize farmers; proper allotment of APL and BPL cards; the DC office, district in-charge minister office and other offices should be shifted to Suvarna Vidhana Soudha.
“In the state agricultural project, Rs 126 crores insurance amount has to be released by the government,” they said.
Earlier last month, BJP leader D V Sadananda Gowda urged Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi to take a decision on bringing former chief minister B S Yeddyurappa back to the party. Commenting over this K Ravindra Shetty said, “In the coming Lok Sabha election’s the whole country is pitching up for Narendra Modi, and KJP is just a bifurcated part of BJP. Thus we are all hoping for the best, there are around 170 seats from Dakshina Kannada district.”
Karnataka Janata Party (KJP) president Ramachandra Baikampady along with Aziz Baikampady, district conveners Gokuldas Bhandarkar and Shivappa Panchanadi, district secretaries Guruchandra Hegde, Abbupkar Kairamgalu and Ramchandra Acharya, Mohammad Faisal from the youth committee, Hamid Kuroli, Najesh and other presidents and volunteers were present during the press meet.
