Kundapur, Oct 15: The idol of Goddess Sharada which was installed to mark the festivities of Navarathri was taken for immersion in a grand procession, after offering special Puja for nine days, on Monday October 14 evening.
The special attraction of the procession was the tiger dance which enthralled the crowds.
The Kundeshwar Goddess Sharada immersion programme held under the guidance of senior tiger dancer Nagesh was taken to Kundeshwar Panchagangaavali in a grand procession for immersion.
The immersion of Goddess Sharada installed by Narayanaguru Seva Samithi was held on Monday night. Varieties of tableaux were taken in the procession mesmerized the crowd. Traffic was stalled for nearly two hours on the main road of Kundapur city. A colourful display of fireworks enthralled the viewers.
The immersion ceremony of idol of Goddess Sharada installed by Rama Mandir was held on Sunday October 13 night. On Sunday night, several cultural programmes were held near Parijatha Circle.
