Mangalore: Dubai-bound passenger caught with 3 kg of ganja at airport

Mangalore, Oct 9: Just two days after the customs officials seized one kg of gold from a flight at Mangalore Airport, the officials at on Wednesday October 9 seized 3 kg of ganja from a passenger who was about to board the flight to Dubai.
The passenger has been identified as Brijesh (20).
On interrogation, it was learnt that Brijesh had intended to hand over the ganja to a person by name Shaan in Dubai.
Brijesh also said that the ganja was given to him by one Sabir from Kannur, Kerala. He was promised a certain amount of money for the job, it is learnt.
Brijesh must thank his luck. If he had not been caught at Mangalore airport, he would have surely been held in Dubai, where advanced technical facility is in place to nab drug smugglers. Severe punishment is dealt out in Dubai for drug peddlers and even drug consumers.
