Mangalore, Oct 5: St Joseph’s High School, Kankanady, which belongs to the Bethany Educational Society, is located at the heart of Mangalore City.
This school encourages the students not only in curricular but also co-curricular activities. Recently the Government of Karnataka, Department of Science and Technology of India, State Educational Research and Training Department along with DIET Shimoga organized ‘Inspire Award 2013’ Science Exhibition at Shimoga.
Mohammed Asfak student of ninth std, son of Hussainabba and Vahida, was selected at district level and state level contest. He is now selected for the National level.
He will participate at the Science Exhibition which will be held in New Delhi from October 8 to October 10. It is an honour for the school, district and the state.
The model named 'Light Ray Viewer' is prepared with less cost, attracted the spectators and judges in the exhibition. Mohammed Asfak is good at studies and other co-curricular activities too.
This model is prepared under the guidance of science teacher Sylvia Geetha D’Souza. Sr Roshni, the headmistress, and staff wish him success for the National Level Competition.
