Mangalore: Parents’ Day celebrated at Lourdes School

Mangalore, Oct 5: The kindergarten section along with the guidance and support of the management of Lourdes Central School recently celebrated Parents’ Day, at the Bejai Church Hall.
 
The programme began by welcoming the manager of Lourdes Central School, Dr Victor Machado, principal Fr Michael Lobo, the chief guests Dr Nandkishore B Rao and Dr Smita Rao, parents, teachers and students.

The little angels of LCS dressed in white, began the programme with the prayer dance by thanking God for giving a good family and for his blessings.

The KG coordinator Lydia D’Souza welcomed the gathering and introduced the guests. The principal of LCS gave the introductory speech on parenting. KG 1 and KG 2 sang melodious songs in different languages and danced beautifully to catchy numbers and tried their level best to entertain their parents.

To keep the parents active and entertained, the staff of the kindergarten organized some spot games for them. The distinguished dignitaries along with the coordinator proceeded to the dais to award the young talents who had won prizes for speech and eastern singing competitions held during the month.
The chief guest and the manager of LCS enriched the parents about good parenting and told them to give quality time to their children.

The programme was well begun and it came to an end with a touching poem on parents’ love. The programme was compered by Matilda Pinto and the vote of thanks was proposed by Prema Menezes.

It was the team effort of the kindergarten teachers, management, non-teaching staff, art teacher, choreographer and the music teacher of LCS that made the day more special and real.
