Udupi: Newly-built CSI Christ Church at Katapady inaugurated

Udupi, Oct 4: The newly-built CSI Christ Church, established under Church of South India (CSI), southern diocese at Ambady in Katapady, here was inaugurated by CSI southern diocese bishop Rev Dr J S Sadananda on Friday, October 4. He also inaugurated the bell tower on the occasion.
Minister for urban development Vinay Kumar Sorake, who was the chief guest, lauded the service of Christian missionaries and said, "The contribution of Christian missionaries to society has been tremendous. Their services in health and education sectors should continue to benefit the society."
Ambady CSI Christ Church pastor Rev Gladson Anand presided over the programme.
Mangalore MLA J R Lobo, Udupi MLA Pramod Madhwaraj, former MLA Lalaji R Mendon, Kote gram panchayat president Prashanth Jathanna, industrialist Suresh Shetty Gurme, Karnataka diocese treasurer Udayaraj Kaunds, Katapady Vishwanatha Kshetra president Ashok Suvarna, Katapady Jumma Masjid assistant qazi Abdul Rashid, Katapady gram panchayat president Vinay Ballal, zilla panchayat member Geetanjali Suvarna, Kote gram panchayat former president Dayananda Bangera, industrialist Jerry Vincent Dias and engineer Prakash Simon were the chief guests.
