Mangalore, Oct 1: Joshiana 4.0, a two day National Level IT fest under the banner of Technocrats was organized by the Department of Computer Applications at St Joseph Engineering College Vamanjoor on September 30 and October 1.
The agenda of the Joshiana covers a wide range of interesting competitive activities relating to the technical skills implicated in Information Technology.
The fest was inaugurated by Mukund Giri, vice president of Sales and Marketing, Global E-Soft Sys Pvt. Ltd by lighting the lamp.
The other dignitaries on the dais were Fr Joseph Lobo – director SJEC, Dr Joseph Gonsalvis principal SJEC, Dr Rio D’Souza – vice principal and dean MCA SJEC, Rev Father Ajith Menezes assistant director SJEC, Fr Rohith D’Costa – assistant director SJEC, Anushree Raj – HOD Department of Computer Applications.
The convener of Joshiana was Gururaja S assistant professor Department of Computer Applications, The president and secretary of Technocrats were the second year students Franklin D’Souza, and Ona Melissa Pinto.
The chief guest addressed the student by giving information on importance of trends in IT industry and the need of soft skills and communication skills in present technical era.
The two days fest attracted 14 teams of around 150 participants of various colleges in and around Mangalore. The fest comprised
of following competitive technical and non-technical events: Ice Breakers, Jam, IT Product Launch, Best Manager, Web Design, Coding, Gaming, IT Quiz, Application Development, Photo and video editing and Cultural.
