Mangalore: Audio CD of Tulu movie 'Barke' released

Mangalore, Sep 26: The audio CD of upcoming Tulu movie ‘Barke’ produced under Sri Renuka Chitra banner was released in a ceremony held at Hotel Maya International on Thursday September 26.

The CD was released by Yajneshwar Barke along with other dignitaries.

Santhosh Shetty, producer Suresh Reddy, director Bharath Krishna, actors Nagaraj, Ashwin, Shrikanth, Balachandra, Meghana, Revanna Siddayya, and cinematographer Mutturaj shared the dais.

Speaking after the inauguration, Santhosh Shetty wished good luck to the movie cast and crew and hoped that the movie would run for 100 days.

Yajneshwar said he was proud of the fact that the movie was related to the place ‘Barke’ which is associated with his name. Wishing success to the movie, he said, "I wish that Bharath Krishna comes up with a sequel to the movie."

Actor Nagaraj said, “It is a dream come true for me and other new actors as we got an opportunity to showcase our talent with this movie.” He asked Tulu fans to show their support by watching the movie.

The ‘muhurta’ of the movie was held at Urwa Marigudi temple on May 20, 2013. The movie was shot in 20 days in different places like Barke, Mannagudda, Urwa, Kadri, Ullal, Sultan Battery, Bharat Mall, Hampankatta, Bunder, Bolur, Gandhinagar, Ladyhill, Urwa Store, Lalbagh, and other places.

Actors like Nagaraj, Ashwin, Srikanth, Balachandra, Meghana, Arun, Revanna Siddayya, Suresh Chandra, Rashmika, Niranjan Bekal, and Rajesh have acted in the movie. Yajneshwar Barke and Suresh Reddy have made guest appearances in the movie.

Suresh Reddy is the producer, while Mutturaj the cinematographer, assisted by Viresh and Balamurugan. The compilation  has been done by Rajshekar Reddy, music direction by Yashovardhan, lyrics by V Manohar,  and playback singing by Deepak Doddera, Anuradha Bhat, Vikas and Ajay Variyar.

The songs have been choreographed by Sailaxman assisted by Shekar. The assistant directors are Melwyn, Mouneshm Girish L, Harish, and Lokayya. Bharath Krishna has written the story, dialogue, and directed the movie.
