Mangalore: SP Abhishek Goyal transferred, Shantanu Sinha to replace him

Mangalore, Sep 24: Dakshina Kannada superintendent of police (SP) Abhishek Goyal has been transferred and Shantanu Sinha will be replacing him.
Goyal, a 2005 batch IPS officer, will take up the post of Lokayukta SP in Bangalore.
Shantanu Sinha, a 2009 batch IPS officer, assumed charge as the deputy commissioner of police (law and order) of Mysore district this April as per the directive of election commission. After the Assembly election, Basavaraj Malagatti was reinstated as the DCP (law and order) of Mysore.
An engineer hailing from New Delhi, he initially worked for a private firm and later took up IPS. He was posted in Shimoga on probation for six months and then as ASP of Channapatna subdivision in Ramanagaram district.
Altogether, two IAS officers and 10 IPS officers across the state have been transferred.
