Mangalore, Sep 23: The 31st ‘Amala Bharath’, an awareness campaign initiated by Sri Mata Amritanandamayi Devi for clean and healthy society was held at Lady Goshen Hospital, here, on Sunday September 22.
The program was flagged off by Dr Jeevram Sorake, president of the Amala Bharath campaign.
Addressing the gathering after inaugurating the programme he said, “Students play a prime role in the success of this campaign which is initiated by Mata Amritanandamayi. By planting saplings, and growing more trees in the surroundings, one can build respect for the environment and this can be achieved through such eco-friendly campaigns.”
Lady Goshen hospital RMO Dr Geethanjali, nursing unit head Sumithra, Vishwanath Outhran, Srinivas Shettigar, Madhava Suvarna, Sudhakar Bhat, Prem Raj, Ashok, Geetha Balchandar, Yogeesh Salian, wing commander Devraj Belle, Ravi Uchil, officer bearers of Mata Amritanandamayi Seva Samithi, students of University College, SDM College, Youth Red Cross unit among others were present.
