Bangalore: Court annuls actress Shruthi's marriage to Chandrachud

Bangalore, Sep 20: The Bangalore family court has annulled the second marriage between actress Shruthi and journalist Chandrachud Chakravarthy on Friday, September 20.
Chandrachud’s first wife Manjula had submitted a petition to the court requesting to annul the second marriage saying that Chandrachud had not divorced her. The court gave its verdict after verification of the case.

As both Chandrachud and Shruthi consented, the court has annulled their marriage.
Shruthi had obtained divorce from her first husband, film director S Mahendar and married Chandrachud on June 6, this year.
Responding to the media after the court verdict, Shruthi has said that her pain has decreased after the marriage got annulled. “I have made no mistake. I had to face injustice due to mistake committed by somebody else. Nobody should face injustice because of me, she said.
"Nobody tried to unite us and set right our lives. There is no use speaking after everything is over,” she said.
Journalist Chandrachud who spoke to the media after the court proceedings, said that he is very sad due to the annulment of his marriage to Shruthi. "Shruthi has been meted out injustice due to the verdict. I am sad that Shruthi had to face court proceedings because of me. She has come to the court in all the court hearings. It is not possible to remove her from my heart."
