Beltangady: Man from Bangalore dies in accident, three others injured

Beltangady, Sep 16: One person died and three others were injured after a private bus collided with a car near Ujire here on Sunday September 16 morning.
The deceased has been identified as Nithyananda (30), son of Ramachandra from Bangalore.
Prajwal (23), Harshita (21) and Aditya (25) who were in the car were seriously injured. They were admitted to a private hospital in Ujire.
All four were friends and residents of Rajajinagar in Bangalore. They were travelling in a friend's car from Bangalore to Dharmasthala, but they lost their way and drove towards Uppinangady. They then took a detour through Guruvanyankere.
The car which was approaching Ujire Yermodi bridge was hit by a private bus plying from Dharmathala to Kollur. The impact of the accident was such that both the vehicles were damaged.
Nithyananda who was critically injured in the accident was taken to Beltangady government hospital where he was pronounced brought dead.
It is learnt that Nithyananda had his own business in Bangalore.
The driver of the bus fled from the spot soon after the accident.
Beltangady police have registered a case.
