Mangalore: Blessed John Paul II block inaugurated at Rosario College

Mangalore, Sep 12: Prof T C Shivashankar Murthy, vice-chancellor of Mangalore University on Wednesday September 11 inaugurated the new Blessed John Paul II block of Rosario College of Management Studies.
MLA J R Lobo and others were present on the occasion. Dr Alyosius Paul, bishop of Mangalore diocese blessed the gathering.
The bishop in his address conveyed his best wishes to Rosario college and wished that the students would make the best use of the facilities provided to them.
Blessed John Paul II block at Rosario Educational Institution has been built with an investment of about Rs 1.5 crore. It includes spacious class rooms, a conference hall, an extensive library, NSS room games room, exam room and an office room.
The infrastructure is built to cater to the needs of the increasing number students and to create a conductive atmosphere for study and to conduct extra-curricular activities, so as to enable the students to develop their personality and produce future citizens of moral integrity.
Rosario College of management studies which is the up-gradation of Rosario PU-College is promising new institutuion established by the Rosario Cathedral Church under the management of Catholic Board of Education with Fr J B Crasta as its correspondent and Fr Alwin Serrao as its principal. The college is affiliated to Mangalore University and offeres three years’ graduation courses in bachelor of business management and bachelor of commerce.
Rosario College of Management Studies is a very young institution, and is an off-shoot of Rosario school which has a history of 154 years. In fact it is one of the oldest Catholic schools in Mangalore city. Presently more than 2000 students study in the various Rosario Educational Institutions from kindergarten to under graduation. It has carved a niche for itself in sports and games. The students who have gone out of the portals of this school and college have risen to great height of glory in national and international level, stated a media release.
