Bhubaneswar, Aug 27 (IANS): Four troopers of the paramilitary Border Security Force (BSF) were killed Tuesday when Maoists blew up their vehicle in Odisha's Koraput district, police said.
The extremists triggered the blast near Sunkhi village, about 60 km from the district headquarters town of Koraput, when the BSF personnel were on their way to Vijayanagaram in Andhra Pradesh in three vehicles.
One vehicle was damaged by the blast, the state's Director General of Police Prakash Mishra told IANS.
"Four personnel were killed and two were injured. Those who sustained injuries have been shifted to Vishakhapatnam in Andhra Pradesh and they are out of danger," he said.
