Beijing, Aug 26 (IANS): Four people were killed and 11 injured when a knife-wielding man attacked passengers in a bus in China's Sichuan province Sunday night, police said.
The bus camera shows that the suspect suddenly whipped out a knife and started to stab the passengers on the bus running through Sichuan's capital Chengdu, reported Xinhua citing the city's security office.
The man, surnamed Li, then got off the bus and continued attacking people on the street before police opened fire and subdued him.
China Central Television said a 10-year-old girl was severely wounded.
According to initial investigation, the 41-year-old suspect is from Jintang county of Chengdu city. He told police that he has worked as a migrant worker elsewhere and has financial disputes with his family members.
Li left Xichang city in Sichuan province last Thursday, went home in Jintang Saturday, and arrived in Chengdu Sunday noon, said the police.
