Mangalore, Aug 25: “In comparison with China, India has got a better youth population which can create wonders. Unfortunately our youth are losing the core values in life. Values are very essential to life, loosing them will prove disasterous for the nation. We should learn and earn not only to live but we should also learn how to make a life and this leads us into success”, said M Ranganath Bhat , honorary secretary of Canara High school Association, Mangalore.
He was speaking as the chief guest at thePrathibha Puraskar (Talent award) scholarship distribution programme organized by SCDCC Bank in memory of Father of the Co-op movement , late Molahalli Shivarao in Buvanendra Hall, Canara High school here on Saturday August 24.
Speaking about Dr MN Rajendra Kumar, he also said in contemporary scenario we can find many organizations, institutions who have their corporate social responsibility but only few leaders like MN Rajendra Kumar successfully completes their corporate social responsibility.
MN Rajendra Kumar chairman of SCDCC bank in his presidential address said “Our institution provides scholarships to the economically poor children for their studies because a son of a common peon should not remain as a peon, instead he should study hard, achieve a prominent position in the society and economically poor children deserve it. ‘Vidhya Dhan’ (providing education) is one of the greatest among donations. Although there is scarcity of water and other such issues in Kolar, youth from get recruited into the IAS cadre but our youth are least bothered about rendering such services. Our institution will be always ready to help those who are willing to do IAS”.
On this occasion Vinay Kumar Soorinje, B Niranjan, Baskar Kotian, Rajaram Bhat, Sadhashiva Ullal were present.
M Ranganath Bhat felicitated talented students from undivided Dakshina Kannada and Udupi who secured the highest marks in 2012-13 SSLC and PUC examinations.
