Bantwal, Aug 25: District Crime Branch, Vittla police have busted interstate bike theft gang and arrested 4 accused along with 4 bikes in Salethooru, Vittal on Friday.
Arrested accused were identified as Abdul Basheer(21) resident of Kodangai Radhukatte, Vittla Padnooru village, K Ibrahim(22) alias Ansu resident of Maira, Kepu Village, Mohammed Mansooru(23) alias Manchu, resident of Kodangai Radhukatte, Vittla Padnooru village and Mohammed Nasir alias Asir(23) resident of Bairikatte Hangri.
It is also learnt these accused were involved in various house theft, vehicle theft and also loot shops by breaking the lock throughout Dakshina Kannada district. With authentic information, under the guidance of Superintend of Police, Vittla Police joint collaboration with District Crime Branch arrested accused with along with motorbikes.
District Crime Intelligence Bureau circle inspector Vinay S Nayak and Sub inspector police Sanjeeva Purusha, staffs Chandra K, Udaya Rai, Iqbal KE, Tharanath S, driver Vijay Gowda, Vasu Nayak, Vittla police inspector Madhava Kodlu, staffs Chidanada, Praveen Rai, Praveen Kumar, Chamayya, Sheena Gowda were took part in crime operation.
It is also learnt that accused Basheer had involved in theft from past 11 years and recently he was been released in bail. From this team one bike from case relating to Ullal Police limits and 3 bikes relating to Kasargod police limits have been seized. For future information accused are in Vittla police custody.
