Muscat, Feb 5:  Konkani speaking community in the Sultanate of Oman is anxiously awaiting to have rare spiritual experience of Konkani Retreat presented by Karnataka region’s charismatic preacher, Fr. Franklin D Souza.  Preparations for the Konkani Retreat, under the able leadership and guidance of Fr. Albert D Silva, Assistant Parish Priest of Sts. Peter & Paul Church Ruwi, are going on for the last few weeks.

“Mhoje sorxim ieteliank Hanv kedinch pois korchonam “– Juanv 6:37b  (“… the one who comes to Me I will by no means cast out. ” John 6:37b ) is the theme of the series of Konkani Retreats 2006 : Oman, which will commence on Sunday, 05th February 2006 at Sts Peter and Paul Chruch Ruwi at 8.00 pm.

 The series of Konkani Retreats 2006 - Oman will continue at Holy Spirit Church – Ghala from 12.02.2006 to 16.02.2006 and then, St.Francis Xavier Church, Salalah from 17.02.2006 to 20.02.2006 and St.Anthony’s Church, Sohar from 22.02.2006 to 24.02.2006.
 
 Night Vigils have been organized at Sts. Peter and Paul Church, Ruwi and Holy Spirit Chuch, Ghala on 09.02.2006 and 16.02.2006 respectively at 8.00 pm and concluding at 6.00 am, next day with High Mass in Konkani. 

The preacher of the Konkani Retreat 2006 : Oman, Fr. Franklin D Souza is a well-known and well-appreciated Catholic charismatic preacher in the church of Karnataka. He has preached more than 400 retreats around Karnataka. One can see a special touch of God in his life. He shares his experience that Lord Jesus has touched his life in the first year of his priesthood. Ever since he started proclaiming the "Word of God", i.e., the message of Jesus with conviction.
