New Delhi, Jan 28: It was a surprise gift for visiting Saudi King Abdullah bin Abdul Aziz -- a photo album with rare pictures King Saud's visit King Saud to India 51 years back.
The album presented by information and broadcasting minister P R Dasmunshi contained pictures of King Saud with Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, Dr Rajendra Prasad, Maulana Abul Kalam Azad, Rajagopalachari and Indira Gandhi.
The photographs clicked in November-December, 1955, were culled out by the external affairs ministry.
During his meeting with Congress president Sonia Gandhi, King Abdullah spoke of the deeply-felt relations with Nehru, Indira and Rajiv Gandhi and praised her for her "historic" decision not to accept the prime minister's post and her "far-sightedness".
