Mangalore, Jan 27: “We have come her to win, but have to first win over Mangalore heat”, was the feedback from the 6-member team of management students from Bahrain who have stepped into India and into Mangalore on Thursday.
The team from the Birla Management School Bahrain, which has flown all the way from Bahrain to participate in the international level management and IT festival, Synergy 2006 organised by Shri Dharmasthala Manjunatheshwara College of Business Management were delighted to find the Daijiworld correspondent approach them.
“Although we are excited about the events here at SDM, the pricky heat here is what is our bane. For us it’s a sudden changeover from 15-degree Celsius to Mangalore’s 35 degrees. Ooof..” lamented a team member.
The team consisting of Sreejith Jayaprakash, Pearl Rodrigues, Karen Paes, Nazia Kazi, Rabia Shakeel and Annette Mendonza put up a hilarious, yet distinct piece of presentation with the costumes of their nation, bringing charm in the ice breaking session on Thursday.
Pleased with the Mangalorean hospitality, the team will be participating in all the events at Synergy.
Synergy 06 has set a record of its kind by being the first college fest to go international. Two teams from Pakistan and
Sri Lanka are on their way to the fest. However, the stringent restricts laid on visits to India from other countries during the Republic day celebrations has held them back.

The theme for the three-day fest is "The green revolution". Along with this a university level BCA fest, Xel 2006 has also been organized.
The preliminary events began on Thursday and will continue till Friday following which the final events will be held at the TMA Pai International Convention Centre on January 28.
Dharmadhikari D Veerendra Heggade will inaugurate the final event. Corporation Bank General Manger A Mohan Rao and Canara Bank General Manger (acting), T D Pai will be the chief guests.
