Mangalore, Jul 7: The Hindu Janajagruti Samiti on Sunday July 7 protested in front of the DC office demanding government to extend help to Hindus in Uttarkhand and to ban Hindi movie ‘Bhaag Milkha Bhaag’ which they said hurts the religious sentiments of Hindus.

Addressing the gathering, Harshavardhan Shetty of Hindu Janajagruti Samiti said, “Due to the floods in Uttarkhand, property worth crores has been lost and around 200 villages have been destroyed. Hindus in the area are spending their life in the dark.”

"Even though there was prior information about floods, the Uttarakhand government did not take any action," he said, holding the government responsible for the incident.

He demanded the government to immediately respond to their problems and maintain sanctity of the holy places in Uttarakhand.

The Samiti also demanded ban on ‘Bhaag Milkha Bhaag’ movie which is releasing on July 12 as one of the songs ‘Havan Kund Maston Ka Jhund’ hurts religious sentiments of Hindus, they said.
