Mangalore, Jul 6: The renovated shop of the DK and Udupi Dist HOPCOMS, Karangalpady branch was inaugurated by the MLA of Mangalore South Assembly, J R Lobo and other dignitaries, here on Saturday July 6.
The shop was inaugurated with the cutting of the ribbon and lighting the auspicious lamp. Speaking after the inauguration, J R Lobo said "HOPCOMS has constructed a good infrastructure and a suitable atmosphere. It is quite necessary to maintain this atmosphere."
"HOPCOMS need to encourage the local farmers and vegetable growers by buying their products and hence boost people to take up farming and vegetation," he said.
He further rendered his best wishes to the refurbished shop and urged the authorities to carry out such developments in the future.
Ashok D C, Corporator and Yogeesh H R, Asst Director, Agricultural Department were the chief guests of the event. Padunranga Hegde, vice president HOPCOMS, Lakshminarayan Udupa, President, Pradeep D’Souza, Executive Director, Radhakrishna, T K Sudhir, Stany Alvares, Mohan Mendon and others were present.
