Bangalore, Jul 4: KONCAB had organized its 21st Annual General Body Meeting on June 23, at Jyothi School Hall, Kammanahalli, Bangalore.
At 9 am, the KONCAB members and their families attended the thanksgiving Konkani mass offered by Fr Rakesh Mathias. Tony Lucas led the melodious choir, ably supported by Joseph on the keyboard.
After the Mass, KONCAB had arranged breakfast for the members. The members then assembled in the School Hall to participate in the 21st Annual General Body Meeting.
The meeting began with the prayer and President Anup Saldanha called the meeting to order after the prayer. Secretary Jhonas D'souza presented the Secretary’s report for the year 2012-13 which was approved by the general body. A minute’s silence and prayer was offered for the repose of souls of members departed in the past year.
Treasurer colonel Alexis Pereira presented the audited accounts for the year 2012-13 and it was approved by the august body. Mark D’Souza was appointed as the auditor for the year 2013-14. KWT Secretary Joachim Serrao provided an update on the KWT Samudai Bhavan building project and sought sponsorship from the members. Nerry D’Silva presented a proposal for the membership renewal program.
Thereafter Roger Pais who presided over as Returning Officer conducted the election proceedings. As per the nominations filed before him, all new Committee members were elected unopposed.

The outgoing president Anup Saldanha thanked the committee and all members for their support during his tenure and congratulated the new committee and wished them good luck. The newly elected president Ida Sequeira thanked everyone for electing her and sought everyone’s support in the coming days.
