New Delhi, Jun 21 (IANS): The union cabinet is likely to take a decision on hiking cooking gas prices during a meeting next week, Finance Minister P. Chidambaram said Friday.
The issue was listed in the additional agenda of the meeting of the Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs (CCEA) but a decision was deferred as Petroleum Minister M. Veerappa Moily was away on an official tour.
"I hope, we will be able to take a decision next week when the minister is here and the meeting is called,” Chidambaram said at a media briefing after the cabinet meeting.
