Kundapur: Aravind Padiyar (44) dies in accident at Channarayapatna

Kundapur, Jun 5: Aravind Padiyar, head of formulation development (pharma) at Himalaya Drug Company and son of Dr S N Padiyar, founder of Seva Sangama Trust and Tekkatte Vidyagiri Seva Sangama Vidyakendra, passed away in an accident at Channarayapatna. He was 44.
Aravind was travelling from Bangalore to Uppunda in Kundapur to attend a family ritual scheduled for June 5 when the accident took place. The accident occured at around 11.30 pm on Tuesday June 4.
It is said that Aravind was travelling by KSRTC bus and had occupied the seat behind the driver. When the bus reached Channarayapatna, a truck approaching from the opposite direction hit the bus, killing Aravind, bus driver Rajendra (45) and truck driver Manjunath (28) from Godasandra in Kanakapur district
Aravind, having completed his MPharma, had served in renowned companies like Dabur, Plethico, Ranbaxy in various positions at Delhi, Gurgaon, Indore and other places and climbed the ladder of success through his resourcefulness, merit and sincere dedication to work.
For the past four years, he was the head of formulation development (pharma) at Himalaya Drug Company in Bangalore. He had earlier served as general manager (herbal division) in Plethico Phamaceuticals, Indore; group leader (herbal drug research) at Ranbaxy, Gurgaon, and senior research scientist at Dabur Research Foundation. He completed his studies from the prestigious Birla Institute of Technology and Science.
He leaves behind his parents, wife, a son and a daughter.
Leaders and members of various associations and organizations visited the family in Kundapur and condoled his sudden demise.
