Mangalore, May 20: A daughter, who was unable to bear the agony of her beloved father, who has been not keeping well since some time, committed suicide on Sunday May 19.
Deep-rooted affection of Willetha Lima Lobo (26), daughter of Walter Lobo and Lucy Lobo from Bolpugudde in Kavoor in the city, towards her father, made it impossible for her to watch her father going through sufferings, it is learnt.
Lima used to work for a private firm. Walter, who was afflicted with malaria, is being treated a private hospital here since a week. After the hospital staff conveyed information on Sunday morning that Walter required blood transfusion, Lucy had visited the hospital and arranged for the same. By the time she reached home again, she received another call, seeking more blood. Lucy rushed to the hospital again.
Willetha Lima, perhaps overwhelmed by her own perception of what was going on and negative thoughts, committed suicide by hanging herself at the bedroom. From the hospital, Lucy called her daughter over phone. As Willetha did not receive the call, she contacted the neighbours to check. The neighbours, who visited her home could see from the window that Willetha had committed suicide by hanging herself.
A case of unnatural death stands registered in Kavoor police station in this connection.
