Mangalore: Minister U T Khadar gets warm welcome in city

Mangalore, May 19: The newly appointed minister U T Khadar arrived in the city here on Sunday, May 19 to a warm welcome by his well-wishers, supporters and Congress partyworkers.
He was welcomed at Mangalore International Aiport where he arrived by the morning flight from Bangalore, where he was sworn-in as minister in the Siddaramiah cabinet.
Speaking to the media, Khadar said that his supporters, well-wishers, party workers and leaders have helped him a lot in his victory.
"The entire credit for my success goes to them. I am ever grateful to my voters and will surely strive hard for their welfare and well-being," he said.
"I never expected to get a ministerial post, but I was ready to bat at any ball that came my way. I will ensure the overall development of the city and do good work for the ministry I am given too," he added.
Large number people thronged the airport to welcome their leader.
Ibrahim Kodijal, Vinay Raj, U T Ifthikar Ali, Shivaprasad Shetty and others were present.
