Abu Dhabi: Wilson Olivera captures hearts with enthralling Musical Nite

Abu Dhabi, May 5: The 'Wilson Olivera Nite' which had enthralled music lovers in Dubai on Friday May 3, once again mesmerized the Abu Dhabi audience with its superb rendition of songs, music, dance, and rib-tickling comedy at the India Social Centre Auditorium on Saturday May 4.
The event was organized by Seasons Middle East FZC of Dubai, an event management group.
Wilson Olivera lived up to his reputation of a seasoned performer with his foot-tapping and sentimental songs that captured the hearts of the Abu Dhabi audience. The meaningful lyrics covered various topics relevant to society.
The evening began started with the song “Tumcho Ugdaas Ailo” sung by Wilson, which set the tempo of the musical extravaganza. Various singers rendered a variety of songs, each one receiving a rousing applause from the audience.
As usual the king of melodies, the ever popular Rony D’Cunha from Kuwait, with his silky and mellifluous voice enthralled audience. He sang some lovely numbers that delighted the crowd. Zeena Pereira and UAE’s star singers Preema D’Souza, Monica Valder, and the brother duo Prashant and Pradeep Pinto sang a variety of sentimental and catchy numbers to set the stage on fire.
Music Maestro Adrian and his young son Alston along with top class musicians complemented the singers wonderfully.
UAE’s top dance troupe Ocean Kids provided some scintillating dances to the tune of Wilsons’s popular songs. Their presence on stage, with their breathtaking choreography, created a great ambience.
Between the songs, ME-MO-RI, the ever popular comedy trio enacted rib tickling jokes and created a riot of laughter among the crowd.
Ronald Olivera, ace master of ceremony, international award winner and brother of renowned singer Wilson Olivera, compered the show brilliantly with his wit and humour. He anchored the show with professionalism with hassle free proceedings, which enabled the show to go on continuously without any time being wasted.
Broadway Event Management Group provided sound and lights which were an integral part of the show that witnessed a crisp and clear sound throughout the performance.
The show organized by Konkani lover and business man Jawahar Castelino of Seasons Group created magic in Abu Dhabi. The back-to-back shows in UAE were the sheer effort of this gentleman who has tried his best to encourage Konkani art and music in the UAE.
Each and every performer gave a wonderful and splendid presentation and managed to captivate the hearts of Abu Dhabi audience.
The day ended with the song ‘Dev Borem Karum’ sang by all singers to the standing ovation from the crowd.
