Mangalore, May 3: “There is good support from the minorities of the district for the JD(S) and they are working hard to make our candidates win,” said M Abdul Azeez Kudroli, president, district JD(S) minority cell.
“The BJP has neglected minorities so far in all their work. They are known for making fake promises and they have not given even a single seat to the minority candidates in the assembly election. We have seen the Congress attracting and bringing minorities close to them which is mainly for votes. In addition, the Congress party’s statement declaring that they will allow cow slaughter if they win, is mainly to pull votes of the minorities,” he added.
“Only when elections are approaching does the Congress come forward with the setting up of Tippu Sultan University, cow slaughter policy, and others. The six crore people of Karnataka are ready to answer to this in the assembly elections of May 5,” added Kudroli.
“As per the survey conducted by the party, there is strong support from the minorities in areas like Moodbidri, Puttur, Mangalore, Suratkal, and several others,” he further said.
