M'lore: Alva’s Pragati placement drive on May 11, 12

Mangalore, Apr 29: “Alva’s education foundation for the fifth consecutive year will organize ‘Alva’s Pragati 2013’, a mega placement drive at Vidyagiri campus, Moodubidri on May 11 and May 12,” informed Dr M Mohan Alva, chairman of Alva’s education foundation.

He addressed the media during a press meet held at press club on Saturday April 27.

Briefing in detail, he said Alva’s Pragati – 2012 received a good response where over 17,560 students from 350 colleges registered and 4,350 of them were selected.

This year we are expecting 150 plus companies from various sectors like IT/ITeS, Hospitality, manufacturing, automobile, healthcare, BFSI, Media, sales & retail, BPO/KPO, HR agencies and others, he said.

Prominent companies like Titan, Videocon, Fabtech, Aditya Birla group, Honeywell, Essae, ITC, IBM, Fortis, L&T, Taj group, ICICI bank, Wipro, TVS, Suzlon, Mphasis, TAFE, Axis bank, Gold finch, UAE exchange and others will participate in the placement drive.
