Mangalore, Apr 25: “The BJP is clean and some people have created nuisance in the party earlier and all of them have fled from the party,” said state Muzrai minister Kota Srinivas Poojary addressing a press conference at the district BJP office here on Wednesday April 24 at 4 pm.
“Even though misunderstandings occur in the party, we have the strength to fight against all such things. We just failed to make known to the people, the exact power of development by the party in the recent urban body elections. But we are all set to overcome this problem and be victorious in the upcoming legislative body election,” he said.
“The BJP had planned all its projects keeping the poor in mind. At the level of villages and taluks, the best projects have been initiated especially for the welfare of the poorer class of the society. With regards to the Muzrai department, earlier, the total expenditure amount set for a temple, for the monthly ‘pooja’ expenses was Rs 12,000, but some staff of a few temples were extremely unhappy with this amount and hence it has been raised to Rs 24,000. The rural development in the state has been the best ever and the party will surely be victorious,” added Poojary.
“There are over 4,25,000 people using the ‘Kumki’ land. And of this, 3,50,000 people hail from Udupi and Dakshina Kannada. Plans have been proposed to grant these people legal Kumki rights, but due to the election code of conduct, it is pending and in the coming days it will be implemented as proposed,” he said.
BJP district leaders Srikhar Prabhu, Rajgopal Rai, and Nithin Kumar were also present.
