'...Nathlyaa Vellar' - All set for Bangalore performance

Bangalore, Apr 8: The stage is set for Daiji Dubai’s most famous Konkani drama ‘Aami Nathlyaa Velaar….’ to be presented at St Joseph’s High School (Museum Road) in Bangalore on Saturday April 27, at 6.30 pm.
This is the third performance of the drama, the earlier ones being in Dubai in April 2012 and then in Udupi in January this year. All the actors in the drama are arriving from Dubai.
Raju Francis Fernandes
Chief guest for the drama will be Dubai’s young businessman Raju Francis Fernandes who is a keen drama enthusiast and strong supporter of Konkani. He will fly specially from Dubai to witness the drama. SPPE is the main sponsor of the event while other companies like The Grand Magrath Hotel, Rivshan Electronics, Acme Building Materials, Chilly Willy and Raymond Qadras are also supporting the event. Daijiworld.com and Daijiworld Weekly are the media sponsors.
The play is based on the true life story of a navy commander and his family, which became a sensational case in Maharashtra back in 1959. This play has created a record with over 5000 shows in Marathi, Kannada, Konkani and Tulu.
Famous Konkani theatre personality Dayan D’Souza is directing the play while Walter Nandalike of daijiworld will play the lead role of the naval officer. Alphonse Mendonca is another top actor who has an important role in the thrilling drama. Other performers include Dubai’s famous female star Asha Correa and several other established artistes of repute. Alwyn Pinto, Ramcy Fernandes, Nanu Marol, Cynthia Mendonca, Godwin Castelino are other well-known actors also featuring in this play.
Ketan and Arun will provide the music.
The event director will be veteran Denzil Fernandes who has organized several shows in the past.
Tickets for the drama are already selling fast at various outlets. Tickets are also available with Godwin (9886550836), Lawrence (9343797453) and all ATC bookshops.
There will be only one show in Bangalore and seating will be limited. Due to limited seating at the auditorium early booking is advised. Tickets will be priced at Rs 200 (silver class) and Rs 300 (gold class) only for the drama. A few VIP tickets are also available.
