Washington, April 3 (IANS): New orders for US manufactured goods rose 3 percent in February, evidence of the ongoing economic recovery, the US Department of Commerce reported.
US factory orders increased $14.5 billion to a seasonally adjusted $492 billion in February, reported Xinhua.
New orders for durable goods, big-ticket items expected to last at least three years such as computers, cars and machinery, rose 5.6 percent to $232.2 billion in February.
New orders for non-durable goods, including food, paper products, petroleum and coal products, edged up 0.8 percent in February.
