Udupi: Tipper driver's recklessness claims supervisor's life

Udupi, Apr 2: A supervisor of a construction company lost his life after a tipper hit him near Padubidri here on Tuesday April 2.

The deceased has been identified as Moideen (60), a resident of Kudlipete, Kodagu district. He was a supervisor with Sharif Constructions.

The accident occured while Moidin was conducting an inspection at the KIADB industrial area site near Adde, Nandikur here.

It is said that while he was inspecting the area, a tipper driver without any warning took a sudden reverse, ramming into Moidin who was standing there.

A critically injured Moidin was rushed to hospital, but breathed his last on the way.

The tipper driver whose recklessness had caused accident has been identified as Krishnappa Poojary.

Padubidri police inspector Mahadeva Setty informed that Krishnappa has been taken into custody.

A case has been registered in the Padubidri police station.
