Mangalore: SIRC, SICASA launch e-newsletter at maiden event

Mangalore, Apr 2: The Mangalore branch of Southern India Regional council (SIRC) of Chartered Accountants and the Southern Indian Chartered Accountants Students Association(SICASA) hosted their first activity on April 1 to mark the beginning of a new financial year.

The event took place in the presence of the chairman CA Jagannath Kamath , SICASA chairman CA Shivaram Kamath , committee member CA Keshav Ballukaraya , past chairman CA Kiran Vasant , office bearers of SICASA and another 35 students at the Institute of Chartered Accountants, Mahendra Arcade, Mangalore.

The gathering was addressed by the SICASA chairman , past chairman and the chairman at the end. Athena Rebello (cultural representative) compered the program.

Gautham Pai (vice chairman - SICASA) presented the action plan and Sanjiv Narayan (secretary) proposed the vote of thanks.
The first ever e-newsletter ELAN - the one stop news bulletin was launched. There will be editions circulated every month.

An ice breaker session was conducted by Saudamini Chandarana (editor) wherein everyone present enjoyed their time and felt the event was worthwhile.

Malvika Kamath(cultural representative), Shwetha(cultural representative), Karthikeya Shenoy(study circle incharge) and Sachin Nayak(treasurer) were the other committee members present.

The main objective of the event was to create awareness about the activities for the students available in the CA course.

The next event is scheduled on April 27 to be conducted by CA Sham Bhat on - “types of business organizations and its formations" at the ICAI Bhavan, Karangalpady.
