Kundapur: Police jeep rams into lorry, PSI Revathi sustains serious injuries

Kundapur, Mar 29: Kundapur crime branch PSI Revathi and driver Rama sustained injuries when they were patrolling near Shastri Park on Thursday March 28 night.
They were on rounds from Kumbhasi to Kundapur in their official police jeep (KA-20-G-161) when the accident took place.

It is said that in order to avoid hitting a vehicle approaching from Gandhi Maidan direction on the national highway, Rama took a left turn and collided with a lorry (KA-25-C-7193) which was parked on the left side of the highway. There was no parking light on the lorry.
It is learnt that Revathi sustained serious injuries on the head and neck. The accident occurred at around 2.20 am when they were coming from Vadera hobli in the police jeep.
They have been admitted to Chinmayi hospital.
A case has been registered in Kundapur police station.
