Mangalore, Mar 21: Konkani Writers Forum, only registered body of Konkani writers in the state Karnataka and Kavita Trust, which is working for the promotion of Konkani poetry - have jointly organized a unique poets meet Netravati Zuari Yuva Kavya Sangam in the city on Sunday March 24.
This programme will be held in Sahodaya Hall, Balmatta, here, between 4 pm to 6 pm.
As the name of rivers suggest, recognizing and presenting the best of young poets in Konkani, from Goa and Karnataka, and thereby bridging the gap is the main motto of this unique concept. As such only poets below the age of 30 are participating in this meet.
Amey Naik, Siddi Shet Raikar, Srinisha Naik and Vishwapratap Pawar from Goa and Wilma Bantwal, Jaison Sequeira, Clement Fernandes and Jovita Sequeira from Karnataka - will be presenting their best poems in this meet.
Sahitya Akademi awardee Konkani poet Melvyn Rodrigues will inaugurate young poets meet and deliver key note address on the subject “Young poets contribution to Konkani Poetry”
Renowned critic and editor of literary web magazine, kittall.com, H M Pernal will preside over the poets meet.
The programme will start with refreshment at 3.45 pm and will end at 6 pm.
