Panaji, Mar 21: The Mapxencar sisters will present their collection inspired from their visit to Shree Ravi Shankar’s Ashram at Bangalore during the forthcoming Lakme Fashion Week 2013 on March 23 in Mumbai.

Riddhi and Siddhi Mapxecars who own the fashion label mapxencaRS are all set to display their collection for this coveted fashion week.

“The idea for this collection came from our visit to Shree Ravi Shankar's Ashram at Bangalore,” Riddhi Mapxencar said.  The Mapxencar duo has named their collection as “Son Shringar.”

“We present the collection of Son Shringar - where anchored by gold, every color in life comes alive, to enhance your beauty.  The collection is meant to inspire you to go within and be pure in soul like Gold and yet enhance the life around you,” she said.

The Upanishads explain to us, that the body is like a fabric, it can get dirty, but the soul remains untouched, she explained while narrating the inspiration behind her collection.

“Just as gold cannot be affected by any acid, and is deemed the purest metal, which even when it goes through fire, gets only more purified, so also the soul as it goes through the “Tapa” of Sadhana and Dhyana (yoga  and meditation) becomes more pure,” Siddhi Mapxencar said explaining the entire concept.

The sister duo will experiment with Indo-western silhouettes for the first time this season. “The colour palette will have shades of creams, teal blue, pink and orange with hints of gold,” Siddhi added.

The duo had received good response during the India Resort Fashion Week, held in Goa in December, last year.
