Both houses of parliament adjourned till noon

New Delhi, Mar 20 (IANS): Parliament was disrupted Wednesday as the Samajwadi Pary demanded the resignation of Steel Minister Beni Prasad Verma, while members from DMK and AIADMK raised the issue of Sri Lankan Tamils.

In the Lok Sabha, SP members raised the issue of alleged comments made by Steel Minister Beni Prasad Verma against SP chief Mulayam Singh Yadav, forcing Speaker Meira Kumar to adjourn the house till noon. Members from DMK and AIADMK also raised the issue of Sri Lankan Tamils.

Similar scenes were witnessed in the Rajya Sabha, forcing Chairman M. Hamid Ansari to adjourn the house till noon.
