Mangalore, Mar 17: The day long national workshop on ‘Cinema, Short Films, Feature Films and Radio’, organized by the journalism department of St Aloysius College, concluded at the Eric Mathias Auditorium on Saturday March 16.
Speaking on the occasion, film star and RJ Vismaya Vinayak said that students need to participtae in these sort of programmes and develop their internal skills. ”In the present day, the movie field is developing highly and newcomers have lots of opportunities,” he said.
In his presidential address, Fr Sweebert D’Silva said that in recent days, students get intellectual development not just through their syllabus curriculum, but extra co curricular activities are also highly needed for this.
“Participating in extra curricular activities is an important aspect of a student’s life. Through these programmes, students get the best opportunity to rise and all must make the right use of this. In the present day, movies are attracting the youth a lot and through this good messages can be delivered to the public. This will further help in transforming the society,” he said.
Convenor Bhavya Shetty, co-convenor Jayalakshmi Alva, and student co-ordinator Abdul Rahiman were present.
