Kundapur, Mar 17: S V Rajendra Singh Babu, Kannada film director, producer and writer visited and offered Puja at Anegudde Shree Vinayaka Temple Kumbashi on Saturday March 16 at 11 am. He offered Puja and Gana Homa.
Dharmadarshi K S Upadhyaya, a hereditary administrator welcomed and felicitied S V Rajendra Singh Babu with the shawl. He offered Puja along with his friend Harish Kanchan, PWD contractor Kota.
Speaking to Daijiworld he said, “He visits and offers Puja from 35 to 40 years with his father when he comes to Udupi”. He added that he strongly believes in lord Ganapathi.
Speaking to media in press conference he said that Kannada movies should get government subsidy for film making not for remake movies. Kannada film industry is growing; it should grow in national and international level. Our language and culture should be given more importance and not for the remake, he added.
“In film making, story and screen play along with latest technology like 3D are important for the success of the movie. Recently there are many controversies in the film industry which should be controlled by film chambers,” he said.
He added that he is having plans to direct movie on Kundapur Kannada. Kundapur is beautiful nature with sea, road and back water, he said.
Presently he is directing Kannada movie “Rebel”, which may release in the month of April or May.
He is the son of late Shankar Singh, one of the great producers in Kannada film industry and has produced many films under the banner Mahatma Pictures (Mysore). Rajendra Singh Babu has made movies in different genres. He has written and directed love stories, war, suspense thrillers and comedy movies. Many of his films have been adapted from novels or short stories. He is not only famous in Karnataka but also all across India. Babu has won numerous awards for his films and has also directed movies in Hindi and Telugu languages.
