When I lived in Mangalore City I Would often Visit a General Store called Pratap Stores Opposite Urwa Stores Bus Stand. This Store was Run by a Humble Man, Dressed Simply, God Fearing and Compassionate. When He came to know That I was From Goa He would Lovingly say "Goenkar Ailo, Wah Goa" and Speak a Lot to me In Konkani.

About a Year Later I was shocked and could not Believe when He told me casually that He was Twice the Mayor of Mangalore City and indeed the First Mayor of the City. Never Looked liked a Politician of the Day. He stayed in a simple home and ran a store with simplicity not like most politicians of today.

The last time I met him was one evening in Jan 2011 Before leaving to USA when he wished me all the best. Sadly that would be our Last Meeting during our. Earthly Journey. He Passed away Yesterday 15 March. R.I.P Uncle Sadashiva Bhandary. Will Miss a Humble soul.

My Condolences and Prayers to his Family.

Everybody who knew you, knew that you were a clean politician and humble, friendly human being, the fast vanishing class.
