Mangalore: Fr Denzil Lobo appointed rector of St Aloysius Institutions

Mangalore, Mar 14: Fr Denzil Lobo, vice-principal of St Aloysius College (Autonomous) and director of St Aloysius Institute of Management and Information Technology (AIMIT) has been appointed the rector of St Aloysius Institutions.
He will be taking over the charge from present rector Fr Joseph Rodrigues in April end.
Speaking to daijiworld, Fr Denzil said that he was pleasantly surprised at the news, and that he was informed about his appointment by Provincial of Karnataka Jesuits Fr Francis Serrao, who called him from France at around 6 pm on Wednesday March 13.
When asked his plans for St Aloysius Institutions, he said, "There is a lot to do, like getting university status for St Aloysius Institutions, and also to make AIMIT one of the top 10 business schools in the country."
After he takes over as rector and relinquishes charge as director of AIMIT, Fr Pradeep Sequeira is likely to replace him as administrator and finance incharge of AIMIT, Fr Denzil said.
As rector, Fr Denzil will be in charge of nearly 17-18 schools, colleges and hostels under St Aloysius Institutions.
