US wholesale inventories go up


Washington, Mar 9 (IANS): US inventories at the wholesale level posted an increase of 1.2 percent in January from December, while wholesale sales declined, data from the US Commerce Department showed.

Inventories at the wholesale level rose to $504.4 billion in January, up 6.5 percent year on year, reported Xinhua.

Sales at the wholesale level dipped 0.8 percent to $415.4 billion in January, which was still 3 percent higher than the level for January 2012.
