New Delhi, Feb 21 (IANS): It was a pleasant Thursday morning in Delhi with the minimum temperature settling at 12.1 degrees Celsius, a notch above average for this time of the season. The Met Office has forecast a partly cloudy day ahead.
"The sky will be clear in the morning but will turn partly cloudy towards afternoon," said an official from the India Meteorological Department (IMD).
The maximum temperature is expected to hover around 23 degrees Celsius, the official added.
The humidity at 8.30 a.m. was 98 percent.
According to IMD, the national capital is likely to receive rain and thunder showers Friday night onwards.
"There is possibility of rain and thundershowers Friday night due to western disturbance," an IMD official said.
Western disturbance is an extratropical storm originating in the Mediterranean sea and bringing sudden winter rain and snow to the northwestern parts of the Indian subcontinent.
Wednesday's maximum and minimum temperatures settled a notch below average at 23.5 and 10.1 degrees Celsius, respectively.
