Kundapur, Feb 18: Convocation of graduating PUC and grade 10 classes was held at Green Valley at Green Valley National School and Junior College on Sunday February 17.
The colourful ceremony started at 10.45 am. The ceremonial parade of the graduating students and the senior staff started from the administrative block. The school head boy Abhishek Nayak and head girl Ruksar Raja along with the games captains and house captains led the pageant to the convocation hall along with the retreating flags that symbolized the successful completion of their tenure as school leaders.
The principal John Mathew, the vice principal, the chief coordinator and the senior staff accompanied the convocation parade.
Zaid of first PUC welcomed the gathering at the convocation hall. Principal in his convocation address congratulated the students on their success and exhorted the students to have the foresight that enables them to face any difficulties in life, challenge the naysayer who discourage them and, find their own niche and most of all to discover contentment on their own terms by keeping away from the wrong path as they enter the next phase of their life. The principal requested the graduating students to have the strength that yields a life of commitment, passion, integrity and fulfillment. He congratulated the students and teachers on their success and advised them to uphold the tradition of excellence at Green Valley.
Graduation certificates and mementos were awarded to all the graduating students. Sabil Kasma, Ifra Sheik, Prashnth Poojari and Aiswarya Devediga were awarded the best allround student award from grade ten and Rizwan and Mahalakshmi were awarded the best all-round student title from second PUC.
The head boy Abhishek Nayak proposed the vote of thanks.
Students of grade nine and first PUC had arranged an infotainment programme for the graduating students which was followed by variety entertainment programme by students and the reception in the school dining hall.
