Mangalore: Lokayukta raids premises of MCC health inspector

Mangalore, Feb 16: The Lokayukta officials who raided the premises of MCC health inspector Shivalinga Kondaguli on Saturday February 16 have unearthed properties and gold worth lacs of rupees in his name and that of his parents.
The officials found that Shivalinga has a house at Bijapur worth Rs 25 lac, a house in Mangalore worth Rs 9 lac, three sites at Rs 4.5 lac, and a house in Mangalore in his parents' name worth Rs 14 lac.
Among the movable assets were 896.5 gram gold worth Rs 18,76,710, silver weighing 20,975 gram worth Rs 1,39,123, Maruti Swift car worth Rs 4.36 lac, Bajaj Pulsar bike worth Rs 35,000, together with Rs 49,62,400 in the bank in his parents' account. The total value of the household items is yet to be ascertained.

The officials raided Konduguli's flat at Nalapady Presidency at Capitanio.
The raid began early morning and is expected to complete by evening. The officials are said to examining documents of assets and properties belonging to Kondaguli.
Sources said that Kondaguli has properties in Bijapur too.
