Nothing political about hanging Afzal Guru: Manish Tiwari

Chennai, Feb 9 (IANS): Afzal Guru's hanging was the result of the judicial system and not for electoral or political considerations, Information and Broadcasting Minister Manish Tiwari said here Saturday.

He added: "Whenever we take decisions on national security, we do not keep electoral or political considerations in mind."

He said the Dec 13, 2001, attack on Parliament House was followed by an investigative and judicial process.
